FAQ for Pregnancy test

Q: What is the cutoff level of HCG that this test kit will detect?

A: This test will detect when HCG levels are higher than 25 mI U/mL

Q: What is One Step hCG Urine Pregnancy Test

A: One Step hCG Urine Test is a rapid pregnancy test, which you can easily carry out yourself. It detects the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (“hCG”), which appears in urine very early during pregnancy.

For in vitro self-testing use only. For external use only.

Q: How does it work?

A: Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone, produced by the developing placenta shortly after the conception and secreted into the urine. This pregnancy test contains antibodies which specifically react with this hormone.

When specimen is dropped into cassette, capillary action carries the specimen to migrate along the membrane. When hCG in the specimen reaches the Test Zone region of the membrane, it will form a colored line.

To serve as a procedure control, a colored line will appear at the Control Zone region if the test has been performed properly.

Q: What comes with the package?

A: Content of the test kit

1. One (1) Pouch Containing One (1) Test Device

2. One (1) Dropper

3. One (1) Desiccant - The desiccant is for storage purposes only and is not used in the test procedure

Q: What else do you need?

A:

1. A clean, dry, plastic or glass container to collect the urine.

2. A Timer (watch or clock)

SPECIMEN COLLECTION AND PREPARATION

Q: When to collect urine for the test?

A: A urine specimen at any time is appropriate for Pregnancy Testing, but the first morning urine specimen is optimal because of its highest concentration of HCG for the testing process.

Q: How to do the test?

A:

1. Collect Urine in a clean, dry glass or plastic cup as close to testing time as possible.

2. Remove a Testing Device from the foil pouch and place it on a level surface.

3. Holding the sample dropper vertically, add exactly four drops of the urine specimen to the sample well marked by the arrow on the test device.

4. Concentration of hCG may vary with each individual, therefore positive results may show as soon as 3 minutes. DO NOT READ RESULTS AFTER 5 MINUTES.

Q: How to read the results?

A:

Negative (not pregnant):

Only one color band appears, in the Control Line. No apparent band on the Test Line. This indicates that no pregnancy has been detected.

Positive (pregnant):

If distinct color bands appear in the Control and Test Lines, It indicates that you may be pregnant. The color intensity of the test bands may vary since different stages of pregnancy have different concentrations of HCG hormone. Consult your physician immediately.

Invalid:

No visible band or there is a visible band only in the Test Region and not in the Control Region. Repeat with a new test kit.

NOTE: if the color in the Test Line is weak, it is recommended that the test be repeated in 48 hours.

Q: What to do when you know the result

A: If the result is positive (two lines)

Consult your physician. He or She should confirm your pregnancy after evaluating all clinical and laboratory findings. In certain conditions, the test may give a false positive result.

See also “Limitations”.

A: If the result is negative (one line)

If you have reasons to believe that you are pregnant (e.g. no menstrual bleeding), you can repeat the test a few days later. If the test is still negative, consult your physician.

See also “Limitations”.

A: LIMITATIONS

1. As it is with any diagnostic procedure, a confirmed pregnancy diagnosis should only be made by a physician after evaluating all clinical and laboratory findings.

2. If a urine sample is too diluted, it may not contain a representative level of hCG. If pregnancy is still suspected, another urine specimen should be collected 48 hours later and tested.

3. Low concentration of hCG in a very early pregnancy can give a negative result. In this case, another specimen should be obtained at least 48 hours later and tested.

4. Elevated levels of hCG can be caused by a few conditions other than pregnancy. Therefore, the presence of hCG in urine specimen should not be used to diagnose pregnancy unless these conditions have been ruled out. Consult your physician for more information.

5. A normal pregnancy cannot be distinguished from an ectopic pregnancy based on hCG levels alone. Also, spontaneous miscarriage may cause confusion in interpreting test results.

6. Sterility treatments, based on hCG, may cause false results. Consult your physician.

EXPECTED RESULTS

Negative results are expected in healthy non-pregnant women. Although the hCG levels in normal early pregnant women are variable, Urine HCG Test is capable of detecting pregnancy as early as 1 day after the first missed menses.

Q: There is much difference between the control lines of two tests. Is this a concern?

A: No. Variations in the color of the control band will not affect the test result.

Q:  Can test results be interpreted after more than five minutes?

A: No. Test results must be read in 5 minutes. Though a positive result should not change for several days, a negative result may change to a false positive within minutes after the end of the testing period, which would not be an accurate reading. It is always best to read the results at the 5 minute testing period and then discard the test to avoid confusion.

Q: A pink background color and vertical streaking appeared in the result area during the testing period. Is this a concern?

A: No. Each urine sample will vary in its chemical makeup, as will the humidity of the air in testing chamber (room). Such variations in physical conditions can cause the vertical streaking and/or the pink-rose background color, but will not affect the test results. As long as the control band appears within five minutes, the test is working properly.

CAUTIONS

1. This kit is for external use only. Do not swallow.

2. Discard after first use. The test strip cannot be used more than once.

3. Do not use test kit beyond expiration date.

About CD-R and CD-RW discs
CD-R discs can be recorded once only. Once they have been used for recording, they cannot be erased or re-recorded. However, if space is available on the disc (and the disc has not been Finalized), additional material can be recorded.
By contrast, a CD-RW disc can be used in much the same way as a CD-R disc, but the last track or tracks recorded can be erased, and the space on the disc can be re-used for other recordings.
However, you should note that an audio CD created using a CD-RW disc may not play back satisfactorily on other audio CD-players such as the CD player on your automobile.
CD-R, by contrast, can be played on the majority of audio CD players.
Discs
Please use CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs bearing the “DIGITAL AUDIO” mark.
Disk Types
In this manual, although we refer to “CD-R” and “CD-RW” disc, we always mean “CD-R Digital Audio” and “CD-RW Digital Audio”, even when this is not explicitly stated.

  • “CD-R” and “CD-RW” discs designed for computer systems and properly recorded by a computer are playable, but this unit cannot record, finalize or erase them.
  • Depending on the quality of the disc and the condition of the recording, some CD-R/CD-RW disc may not be playable.
  • Always place the disc on the disc tray with the label side facing up (compact discs can be played or recorded only on one side)
  • To move a disc from its storage case, press down on the center of the case and lift the disc out, holding it carefully by the edges.

Remove Disk
l If the disc(s) become dirty, wipe the surface from the center hole outward towards the outer edge with a soft, dry cloth.

Q. Hello, I purchased your Digital Picture Frame and it does not work. About ten of pictures will play in a slideshow then a bright green screen will pop-up and the only way to clear it is to unplug it then it will do the same thing. What am I doing wrong?
A. If it is a solid Green color, that indicates a corrupt photo file or one that is not a “Standard” .jpeg formatted photo file. There are over 30 sub-species of .jpeg files that only label the file name as .jpeg, unfortunately.
Also, photos that have a date/time stamp in them can produce that sort of error as well.
Try using your PC to open each photo file using Windows Paint, which is built into all versions of Windows. Then save each file as a .jpeg file. Windows Paint can only save as a Standard .jpeg file format.

Q. I am looking for Replacement parts for my Office Chair, Can you help me?
A. It’s been 5-6 years since we supplied these chairs, we do not carry any parts for office chairs under Situations Brands (sold at Stales or Quill).
The 15 year warranty was through the retailer directly please contact them directly.
A good place to purchase parts could be:

then scroll down to Accessories
Please note: we are not affiliated with these companies and have nothing to do with pricing, warranty or quality.

Q. I have a Office chair with a 15 Year Situations warranty, how do I get service.
A. We do not and can not supply and service or parts. These chairs were warranted for 15 years by the retailer and not us, we have not supplied these chairs for many years. The retailer went direct to the factory and the factory mistakenly used our contact information. You should first contact the local store, if they can not help try this website it will guide you.
